Diastole Wealth Management was born in the historic town of Guilford, Connecticut, in 1996.

Our founders, Elizabeth Eden and Elizabeth Cook, envisioned a firm that would mesh the timeless values of trust and personalized service with cutting-edge financial strategies. Since November 1, 1996, Elizabeth Diana Eden has been the principal and CEO, steering Diastole with a steady hand toward a future where clients feel like family.

Elizabeth Eden is Diastole’s Chief Executive Officer and Senior Investment Adviser. An original founder of the firm, Ms. Eden began her financial career at Merrill Lynch and spent twelve years at Dean Witter as a Senior Vice President and District Manager, supervising the investment of more than $20 billion.

Ms. Eden oversees the management of Diastole’s client assets and serves on the Investment Committee. She holds an Investment Adviser license as well as a supervisory license. She was educated at Rice University, Centre College, and The Wharton School of Business.

Her responsibilities include corporate communications, marketing, and investment research, and she serves on the Investment Committee. She is a licensed Investment Adviser and a Securities Supervisor. She is also a co-author of the Doubleday/Random House book Super Strategies For Puzzles and Games.

Meredith Eden is a Partner at Diastole, serving as the firm’s Chief Operating Officer and Chief Compliance Officer. She oversees the day-to-day financial operations and manages the firm’s regulatory compliance program. Meredith has served as COO since [2021] and took on the CCO role in July 2025. She previously served as Chief Financial Officer.

As a member of the firm’s leadership, Meredith has supported several corporate development initiatives, including the partnership’s sale of its broker dealer, Collective Financial Services, to ETC Brokerage Services, and the acquisition and subsequent sale of MainLine Financial Group. She also supervises Diastole’s compliance procedures, coordinating closely with external compliance consultants and legal counsel to ensure the firm meets all regulatory requirements and maintains high standards of client care.

Meredith joined Diastole in 2000 after graduating from Trinity College in Connecticut with a Bachelor’s degree. At Trinity, she played varsity basketball and soccer, winning the team’s “Golden Boot” award as top scorer. She volunteered with several Hartford charities, notably Big Brothers and Sisters, and remains active in charitable work locally. Meredith co-founded HelpEducate, an organization dedicated to educating and empowering community leaders in Latin America. She is also a current member of the Circle Society at Groton School, where her older son, William, is a fourth former. Meredith lives in Guilford, Connecticut, with her husband Ethan and their two sons, Will and Max.

She graduated from Southern New Hampshire University and is a volunteer chapter adviser for Alpha Phi International Fraternity at the University of Connecticut. Barb shares the joys of grandparenthood with her husband, Randy.

Eniko is an active member of the community and a Founding Member of the Connecticut Alliance for Business Opportunities (CABO) Chamber, having served on their Board of Directors from 2008-2011. She is an Out & Equal Advisory Board member. In addition, she is a New York City Marathon finisher and an Ironman triathlete.

She has a B.A. and M.B.A. from Xavier University in Cincinnati. She is a member of the CFA Institute and the Cincinnati Society of Financial Analysts.

Christine Sorrento joined Diastole in 2024 as their new Office Manager. She is enthusiastic to be supporting the professional staff of advisors and keeping the office running as smoothly as possible. You will experience her positive attitude and client support whenever you call in to the office for any help you may need. Christine graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and has spent a successful career in sales and marketing. After moving to Connecticut from New Jersey to be close to her granddaughters, she immensely enjoys her new chapter of life in Branford with unlimited hobbies and new friends.

In addition to his professional accomplishments, Samson is also committed to giving back to the community. He successfully completed a year of service with AmeriCorps; he is actively involved in community outreach for affordable housing and increased benefits for teachers and educators. He is passionate about donating blood to the Red Cross and being close to the water. Helping people along the path to financial freedom is something he is proud to be able to do.
